Flight A350-900 with flight number WFL8623 from Prague (Czech Republic) brought about 400 passengers to Phu Quoc International Airport.
At about 10:00 a.m. on October 24, Kien Giang Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion coordinated with Phu Quoc City People's Committee and the Department of Tourism of this province to welcome a group of Czech Republic guests (about 400 guests) to the pearl island for sightseeing and vacation.
According to the schedule, the group will have a 7-day vacation on the island and visit many famous entertainment spots such as Grand World Phu Quoc, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc and Hoang Hon town, take the cable car to visit Hon Thom (An Thoi ward).
Visitors will learn more about the natural beauty of the sea and islands and the cultural beauty of the people's lives on Phu Quoc Island.
Ms. Quang Xuan Lua - Director of the Kien Giang Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion - said that Phu Quoc is in its most beautiful season of the year with clear, peaceful blue beaches. This is also the ideal time for international tourists to come to Phu Quoc to have fun and relax.
"The Czech Republic is an international tourist market that always chooses Phu Quoc as a resort destination. On October 28, Phu Quoc will continue to welcome a group of about 400 Slovakian tourists to the island. Phu Quoc promises to be bustling with international visitors at the end of 2024," Ms. Lua happily said.
After this flight, Phu Quoc will continue to welcome flights from the Czech Republic until the end of April 2025. It is expected that an average of 700 tourists from Eastern Europe will visit the island each week, double that of 2024.
The Kien Giang Department of Tourism said that in 2023, the number of international visitors from the Czech Republic to Phu Quoc is estimated at 6,410. In the first 9 months of 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed about 8,600 visitors from this country.
